A Doodle A Day, 2010

In Design on January 7, 2010 at 8:35 pm

Starting on January 1st, 2010, I’ll create one doodle each day and post it in the “Daily Doodle 2010” section of the Propagandica blog, resulting in 365 doodles by December 31st, 2010. I’m doing project because I like to doodle. A lot. While doodling is an inherently unsystematic activity, I thought it would be interesting to carry out and document this project in a regimented way and share them with anyone who might be interested in checking them out.  Here’s the first one (check out the “Daily Doodle 2010” section to see the others).

Day 1

Propagandica Shop opens on Etsy!

In Design on January 2, 2010 at 10:19 pm

Check out my new shop at www.etsy.com/shop/propagandica! I’m currently featuring postcards. Comments and feedback is much appreciated.

Close-up

Each postcard features a bold, detailed, hand-drawn original design by me. Each packet contains 10 postcards, and all 10 postcards feature the same drawing.

The drawing covers the front of each postcard, and just a little bit of the drawing trickles onto the top of the back of the card, leaving plenty of space for you to write a message, address and place a postage stamp.

Use these postcards to send a handwritten note to friends and family, or display them as creative, original drawings in your home or office!

*** Further Details ***

Dimensions:
Each postcard measures 4 inches by 6 inches (standard postcard size).

Materials:
Ink was used for the drawing. Each postcard is printed on high-quality matte cover stock that is known for its elegant finish and sharp color. The matte cover stock is made from 100% recycled fiber and 50% post-consumer waste.

Packaging:
The 10 postcards are carefully packaged in a cellophane sleeve and are shipped in a heavy-duty cardboard envelope that is made from 100% recycled paper and 80% post-consumer waste. The hard envelope helps your packet of postcards arrive in the best condition.

“The Daily Drop Cap is an ongoing project by typographer and illustrator Jessica Hische. Each day (or at least each WORK day), a new hand-crafted decorative initial cap will be posted for your enjoyment and for the beautification of blog posts everywhere. To use a Daily Drop Cap on your site or blog, follow the instructions in each post and read about the usage limitations. Enjoy!” – Daily Drop Cap (Source: M. Gartrell)
